This year, consider donating to the Santa’s Sleigh Fund. For 25 years, the Santa’s Sleigh Fund has given approximately $50,000 to Northern Arizona University employees to assist them in times of need.
The purpose of the fund is to provide small, one-time monetary gifts to full-time NAU employees facing severe financial hardships or personal tragedies. In the past, it has been used for children’s Christmas presents, doctor bills, cancer treatment and rent. Though its name suggests gifting money around Christmas time, the fund is available to help employees year-round when funds allow.
Donations can be made on the NAU Foundation, Santa’s Sleigh Fund #4936 website. Additionally, Fleet Services manager and administrator of the fund Don Dufek will accept donations at Fleet Services.
