Workforce Planning process nears completion

The annual Workforce Planning process that addresses classification and compensation issues for classified staff and service professionals is coming to conclusion. 

The salary adjustments that took place in March created the need for Human Resources and the vice presidents and the provost to revisit the plans that had already been submitted, causing a slight delay in the finalization of this year’s plan.

Human Resources expects the process to be concluded by the end of July. It is also expected that adjustments approved in this process could be retroactive to July 3, but that decision will also be finalized within the next couple of weeks.

The Workforce Planning process was implemented a year ago to annualize and centralize the process of reclassifications and salary equity adjustments, aligning these staffing resource plans with the university budget and planning cycle.
