Celebrating women’s stories, contributions and accomplishments

As part of Women’s HerStory Month this March, the Commission on the Status of Women is partnering with other campus organizations to bring noteworthy speakers to campus. It’s a great time to learn about the contributions of a diverse set of women to global trade, pop culture, economics and more. CSW exists to help ensure NAU is a welcoming, diverse and family-friendly environment that stands as a beacon of gender equity, where the spirit of inclusivity is woven into the fabric of the community.

“Women’s HerStory Month is an important way for NAU to recognize the accomplishments of women while also being cognizant of the barriers women continue to face,” said Samantha Clifford, co-chair of CSW and assistant teaching professor in the Department of Anthropology. “Highlighting these issues can help us impact policies, procedures and practices to solve inequity.”
