A number of NAU employees participating in Compassionate Transfer of Leave are in need of vacation time donations to remain on a paid status.
Here are the details for a donation:
- An employee may voluntarily transfer accrued vacation to other employees who are unable to work due to catastrophic illness or injury. Employees eligible to participate in this transfer of leave are regular, classified, professional and administrative employees who accrue vacation.
- A contributor must retain a minimum balance of 80 vacation hours after the leave transfer.
- Contributions are administered by Human Resources to participants who have met the criteria (as explained in policy 4.09) and been approved for Compassionate Transfer of Leave.
