NAU faculty and staff have one more week to contribute to NAU’s United Way Campaign.
The annual campaign, which runs from Oct. 1 to Dec. 20, benefits a variety of organizations throughout northern Arizona. NAU has partnered with the nonprofit for 50 years.
NAU’s United Way Campaign set a goal of raising $40,000 from at least 100 donors. Any gift—no matter how large or small—can make a difference. One dollar a pay period can sponsor a child to receive a book each month for a year through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library or provide communication supplies and batteries for residents affected by disasters. A $10 donation per pay period can train six Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) to provide free income tax preparation for low- to middle-income families. It also can provide 21 days of shelter for a person in need. Giving at any level makes a difference.
NAU’s United Way website provides instructions on how to donate, including an online form for payroll deductions to spread your contribution throughout the year, and electronic forms for those wishing to support United Way through check or credit cards. The campaign is open until December 20.
