Because today is Valentine’s Day, it’s a good time to exercise your heart in more ways than love.
Beth Applebee, director of Fronske Health Center, said that getting started on good heart and health care is as easy as visiting the Internet.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has a special Healthy Valentine web site that gives advice for staying healthy all year long.
“The site has good, practical advice that is difficult to improve on,” Applebee said.
Employee Assistance and Wellness sponsored Healthy Heart Health Screening today in du Bois Center and has another program planned for April 3.
And while you’re getting healthy physically, maybe you can pay attention to your emotional side—all while learning to save lives.
The Grand Canyon Chapter of the American Red Cross is sponsoring CPR for Singles from 5 to 9 p.m. Feb. 16 in the NAU Recreation Center.
Cost is $33 to learn this basic lifesaving skill geared for singles 18 to 25.
