Northern Arizona University Spanish majors get to hone their skills performing in Spanish-American one-act plays at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 28 and 29, at Theatrikos Playhouse, 11 West Cherry Avenue.
The plays, directed by Robert Neustadt, professor of Spanish and director of Latin American studies, also will be presented to second and third grade students at Puente de Hozho, a trilingual school that teaches English, Spanish, and Navajo.
“This is a great example of how NAU works with the community, promotes global perspective and completes the loop between pre- and post-secondary education,” said Joe Collentine, chair of modern languages.
The event is free and open to the public; however, donations will be accepted to help reconstruct an orphanage in Haiti. Tickets are available in advance in the Modern Languages office or at the door.
