  • Louie AwardThe NAU-Yuma Social Work Student Association was the 2016-2017 recipient of the Rodney Mather Service Award. This award honors outstanding civic or university service projects completed by registered student organizations. The NAU-Yuma Social Work Student Association completed a yearlong Human Trafficking Awareness Campaign in Yuma and Imperial counties. Students worked with local social service agencies, U.S. Border Patrol and social work faculty to increase community awareness of human trafficking on the U.S.-Mexico border. The NAU-Yuma Social Work Program has contributed nearly $1 million in service contributions to Imperial and Yuma counties.
