  • John Gibbs, assistant professor of physics and astronomy, was a featured author on a paper published in Advanced Materials discussing particle behavior. The work was supported by the National Science Foundation and the State of Arizona Technology and Research Initiative Fund.
  • Northern Arizona University welcomed a delegation from Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications (CQUPT) this month, with the arrival of President Li Lin and five of his colleagues. There are 32 CQUPT students who are in their final stage of a 3+1 dual electrical engineering degree at NAU. During their visit, the delegation met with CQUPT program students, learned about NAU’s School of Informatics, Computing, and Cyber Systems and attended a dinner hosted by President Rita Cheng.
  • Former NAU cross country coach Eric Heins was featured in an article by LetsRun.com about his transition from coach to admissions officer. Few NCAA coaches this decade have been as successful as Heins. His cross country teams made the NCAA podium six times in 10 years.
