Brielle Giesemann
Brielle Giesemann, a double major in sociology and Spanish, recently was selected as a Young People For Fellow. 
  • Cecilia Ojeda, global languages and cultures professor, presented a paper, titled “Desde la longitudinal confianza a las transversales fisuras de la decepción: Neruda a Santa Cruz en Chile,” during the XXIV International Colloquium on Mexican and Latin American Literature on Nov. 8 at the University of Sonora in Hermosillo, Mexico.
  • Brielle Giesemann, undergraduate majoring in Spanish and sociology, recently was selected as a Young People For Fellows. She is one of eight students in Arizona chosen for the honor, recognizing her activism to assist homeless, immigrant and young-mother populations in her native Phoenix. She is the co-founder of NAU Collegetown, an organization that discusses and formulates action plans for implementing positive change on campus.
