- An article by Barbara Veltri, associate professor in the College of Education, recently was published in the Winter 2015 issue of Childhood Explorer, a publication of Association of Childhood Education International. The article, “Education in Italy: 10 Lessons Learned From an Immersion Semester,” discusses key points that she learned about education in Italy during a full semester of teaching and learning, during which she and nine teacher candidates launched the first education track at the Siena School for the Liberal Arts. Veltri will be presenting about Educational Global Etiquette at the Education Diplomacy Conference in Washington, D.C. in March. She also was recommended for the Fulbright Specialist Roster by the Institute of International Education to be matched with international projects.
Judson “Jut” Wynne, assistant research professor in the department of Biological Sciences, was selected as one of 10 scientists to attend the Kavli Institute’s Scientist-Writers Workshop in Buckinghamshire, England in April.
