  • Mandy Hansen, director of International Admissions and Recruitment at the Center for International Education, was selected as a recipient of the 2009 U.S. Administrators in International Education Seminar conducted by the Fulbright Commission in Berlin and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board in Washington, D.C. The Fulbright Program is a binational program between the United States and the Federal Republic of Germany. The seminar is in October and will include meetings with government officials in Germany, training on the Bologna process and recent developments in European higher education.

    Ceramic students James Coquia and Tristyn Bustamante have their artwork featured in the July/August 2009 edition of Clay Times. Their ceramic pieces represent work from the Regional Student Juried Exhibition held in conjunction with the National Council for Education on the Ceramic Arts Conference. The exhibition, held at the Phoenix Convention Center in April, represented artists from 10 states.

  • Jason Hess, associate professor of art in ceramics, is the featured artist this August at AKAR Gallery in Iowa City, Iowa. The exhibition can be viewed online. Hess also has an online solo exhibition opening Sept.1 through the Nevica Project based in Chicago.
