  • Angela Golden, associate clinical professor in the School of Nursing, was inducted as a Fellow to the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners at its annual conference in Nashville, Tenn. on June 20.Golden is among a select number of nurse practitioner leaders recognized for their outstanding contributions to health care through nurse practitioner clinical practice, research, education or policy. She will participate with other fellows at an annual think tank to strategize about the future of nurse practitioners and health care.

    The academy represents the interests of nurse practitioners around the country, advocating for the active role of nurse practitioners as providers of high-quality, cost-effective and personalized healthcare.

  • Elizabeth Hellstern, marketing coordinator for the College of Arts and Letters, recently was appointed to serve on the city of Flagstaff’s Beautification and Public Art Commission, which studies and recommends the purchase of public art and community beautification projects.
