  • Journalism lecturer Annette McGivney and Salt Lake City photographer James Kay recently co-delivered a presentation at the Salt Lake City Public Library based on their 2009 book, Resurrection: Glen Canyon and a New Vision for the American West. As part of the library’s annual Dewey Lecture Series, McGivney discussed water policy issues in the West and how climate change is impacting future water supply in western states.McGivney’s and Kay’s presentation included a film documenting their five-year exploration in the recovered areas of Glen Canyon. The 30-minute documentary will air on PBS Channel 8 beginning July 21 and will be featured in the Sedona International Film Festival Photofest Cinema Night July 22.
