The search for an NAU chief facilities officer has been canceled, President John Haeger announced Friday morning.
“Due to increased pressure on the Northern Arizona University budget, I believe this is in the best interest of the institution,” Haeger said. “We are closely examining all of the university’s hiring, and there may be similar announcements in the future.”
Executive Vice President MJ McMahon, chair of the CFO hiring committee, said the decision is regrettable but necessary during difficult financial times.
She added that Jane Kuhn, associate vice president for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, will continue to assume CFO duties.
Meetings and candidate interviews that had been scheduled on the Flagstaff campus have been canceled.
