Research funding at NAU has doubled over the past decade, according to the fiscal year 2008 annual report by the Office of the Vice President for Research.
The report, a summary of annual research and sponsored projects, provides information about overall research trends at NAU.
The report shows that the total dollar value of new research awards at the university exceeds $50 million—a number that has more than doubled over the last decade, according to Laura Huenneke, vice president for Research.
“New grant awards are at an all-time high, and we are quite pleased with the progress campus researchers have made,” Huenneke said.
The report reviews sources of grant funding, the Technology and Research Initiative Fund, Science Foundation Arizona, the Arizona Water Institute, internally funded research activity and more.
