NAU has launched the Office of Regulatory Compliance to oversee all chemical, biological, radiation, hazardous waste, ergonomic and environmental safety programs at the university.
The office also will be responsible for training programs for regulatory components within each of the disciplines.
Barbara Fox Nellis will direct the group and continue as the biological safety officer, the responsible official and alternate radiation safety officer. She also will serve as the NAU loss prevention coordinator.
James Biddle will serve as the industrial hygienist and fill the roles of radiation safety officer, chemical hygiene officer and environmental safety officer on an interim basis.
L.T. Green joined the office as hazardous materials and waste coordinator. Green is responsible for all chemical, biological and radioactive waste pick up, tracking and preparation for transport.
