Northern Arizona University will welcome the Arizona Board of Regents next week for its regularly scheduled meeting Sept. 26-27 at the High Country Conference Center.
The board will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
NAU President John Haeger will present a report on the university’s strategic plan and discuss the operational and financial state of NAU. The presentation will review the goals set in the board’s Strategic Enterprise Plan and the resources required to meet future goals.
NAU will present a proposal for two new buildings, a facility for aquatics and tennis that will replace the Wall Aquatic Center, and a student and academic services building that will include classrooms and faculty offices.
All three universities will present capital improvement plans for 2015-17.
Regents will discuss guidelines for the presidential search for NAU, which is expected to begin in January 2014. Haeger recently announced he will leave the presidency and return to the classroom when his current contract expires in July 2015.
