Parking permits for 2010-11 available online

Some permits flexible for summer
Through Aug. 20, Parking Services is allowing employees with a current AE permit to use the parking garage at Knoles and Riordan Road and employees with a current Parking Garage permit may park in employee AE lots.Faculty and staff are reminded to otherwise park in lots consistent with their permit type or risk receiving a citation.

Parking permits for the 2010-11 academic year are now available for purchase online. Benefit-eligible faculty and staff can sign up for payroll deduction to have the price deducted over five, 10 or 19 pay periods.

Employee passes are now $350, an increase of $36 over last year. The rate for the parking garage also has increased to $450, which is $32 more than last year.

The rate increase will help fund extensive asphalt repairs across campus and also pays for shuttle services, parking lot maintenance, motorist assistance and maintenance and payoff of the central campus garage.

One option to driving is to take advantage of the free EcoPass program, which allows NAU employees to ride Mountain Line buses at no charge. The 2010-11 passes will be available at the Parking Services office beginning June 15.

Faculty, staff and students should purchase their 2010-11 parking permits by Aug. 1. Parking Services will begin mailing permits purchased online in mid-July.
