Outstanding students sought for recognition awards

The Office of Student Life is asking faculty and staff mentors to encourage outstanding students to apply for awards that recognize their achievements.

Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities
Applications due 5 p.m. Feb. 9

This nationwide award program annually recognizes leading college students for their academic excellence and involvement in extracurricular activities. Juniors, seniors, graduate students and a limited number of sophomores are eligible and encouraged to apply.

Gold Axe Award and President’s Prize
Applications due 5 p.m. March 15

The Gold Axe Award is presented each semester to select graduating seniors for their exemplary leadership, academic excellence and service to the NAU community. Recipients of the award are also considered for the President’s Prize, deemed the highest student recognition from the university.

The award winners will be announced in April.
