The annual swarm of new students and their families attending one of Northern Arizona University’s orientation sessions has kept the campus buzzing with activity this summer.
More than 4,500 participants are expected to cycle their way through one of 17 sessions to learn more about NAU’s academic options, student services, financial aid and more.
“It’s a fun and exciting time for all of us,” said Eric Yordy, director of New Student Programs, which coordinates orientation. “It also takes a lot of dedication from hundreds of people across campus to facilitate a successful season.”
Yordy said attendees are walking away from orientation with a greater familiarity of the campus and readiness to return in the fall.
“Parents will feel comfortable sending their students here,” he said. “It also helps the students feel more comfortable navigating their way through their first year at NAU.”
Orientation sessions run through June with additional sessions planned in August. View the schedule and other information.
