Exploring northern Arizona this weekend? Know before you go.

The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for much of Northern and Central Arizona, including Coconino County, from Thursday afternoon through Saturday evening. Heavy rainfall is expected and may lead to:

  • Flash flooding in washes and low-lying areas
  • Rapid rises in creeks and streams
  • Muddy, impassable dirt roads and trails
  • Dangerous driving conditions especially at low-water crossings
