Northern Arizona University’s W.A. Franke College of Business is launching a new master’s in business administration degree program designed for experienced hospitality managers.
The MBA in Applied Management for Hospitality Professionals blends online and in-person instruction as well as a limited residency to deliver a flexible educational experience over the course of two years.
The program, tailored for candidates who have seven years of experience in the hospitality industry, allows working adults to further develop their business and leadership competencies and to build most effectively on their career path, said John Cauvin, program director.
Once enrolled, students are placed in professional cohorts, participate in online coursework and complete quarterly residencies in either Flagstaff or Phoenix. The limited residency, 28 days spread across two years, provides the flexibility needed for students to continue working full time while earning their degree.
“For someone who is looking to move up, it’s giving them a higher level of self-esteem and self-confidence,” Cauvin said. “In our program, they will be able to network with their colleagues and learn from each other’s professional experiences.”
The inaugural class will begin in May.
Application requirements and information are available on the program website.
