Faculty, staff and students joined in to represent NAU in Flagstaff’s Independence Day Parade last week. Participants energetically sent toy soccer balls, basketballs and footballs flying into the crowd as the NAU band pumped up the crowd with renditions of the NAU Fight Song and “Louie, Louie.”
Thousands of people lined the streets of downtown Flagstaff for the parade, and many entries included tributes to the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots killed while battling the Yarnell Hill Fire June 30.
