Northern Arizona University has been included in The Princeton Review’s Guide to 322 Green Colleges: 2012 Edition, the second edition of the free downloadable book.
NAU was chosen based on its “Green Rating” score, calculated by The Princeton Review from the responses to a 50-question survey provided by 768 schools. NAU was one of three Arizona schools that made the list.
In particular, the guide notes NAU’s nine LEED buildings and a number of campus initiatives, including the No Impact Jack Sustainable Living Certificate Program, the Student Sustainability Ambassadors Program, Green NAU, the Environmental Caucus and the President’s Coordinating Committee for Campus Sustainability.
Released just days prior to the April 22 celebration of the 42nd anniversary of Earth Day, the guide has profiles of the colleges that provide application information plus facts, stats, and write-ups reporting on the schools’ environmentally related policies, practices and academic offerings.
