For the second year in a row, Northern Arizona University has earned a top 25 ranking among medium-size colleges for alumni serving as Peace Corps volunteers.
This year, 33 NAU undergraduate alumni and six graduate alumni are serving as volunteers in missions across the globe.
“NAU students have a history of amazing volunteerism,” said Samantha Moore, northern Arizona area recruiter for the Peace Corps. “They care about others and want to serve them, which fits right in with the Peace Corps’ goals.”
The new rankings place NAU overall at number 11, just one down from number 10 last year. This is after a jump from number 20 in 2006.
NAU also ranks number 32 in graduate school rankings.
