NAU named among top graduate schools for Latinos

Northern Arizona University was named by The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education magazine as one of the top 25 universities in the United States for graduating Latinos with master’s and doctoral degrees in education.

NAU comes in at ninth place for 2010, dropping one spot from the previous year. The university has maintained its place in the top 10 for the last six years.

Next month, the magazine is expected to release its annual rankings of the top 100 universities at which Latinos earn undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees.

The rankings were derived from 2009-10 data gathered by the National Center for Education Statistics.
