Northern Arizona University is participating in a pilot project through ACE—the American Council on Education—intended to make it easier for students to transfer credits from a pool of lower division general education online courses.

NAU is one of 25 institutions in the project, which was made possible by a $1.89 million grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

First-generation, low-income students are among those expected to benefit the most.
