Celebrate back-to-school with Northern Arizona University at an old-fashioned pep rally followed by a movie in downtown Flagstaff’s Heritage Square tonight.
AU’s marching band, NAU student-athletes and coaches, as well as NAU President John Haeger, Mayor Sara Presler and the Flagstaff City Council will be on hand to pump you up with school spirit.
The festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and continue until dusk. Then it’s time to put the pom-poms down and pull up a chair to enjoy the 80’s classic, ET: The Extraterrestrial, sponsored by NAU Athletics as part of the Movies on the Square series.
The fun continues for the next week as part of NAU’s Welcome Week tradition with more than 100 activities ranging from free Zumba classes to hypnotist shows to volleyball played with water balloons. Be sure not to miss the Welcome Week BBQ offering up tasty vittles to all students, faculty and staff, served up by NAU senior adminstrators including the president.
