NAU officials, dignitaries, students and friends of the university gathered this week to turn dirt in celebration of the official groundbreaking of the new Student and Academic Services building.
The building will provide a one-stop shop for student services including Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid and Student Accounts. It also will be home to the new Lumberjack Mathematics Center, faculty offices and a 154-seat auditorium.
NAU’s President Rita Cheng said this is a big moment in the ongoing modernization of our campus.
“Part of helping students succeed is removing obstacles in their path,” said Cheng. “This one-stop shop will go far toward making their lives at NAU easier.”
The building is scheduled to open in January 2016. View a photo album of the event here.
