NAU Athletics has signed a three-year partnership agreement with Great Circle Media making Hits 106.1 FM in Flagstaff the new flagship station for Lumberjack sports.
Fun Oldies 100.9 FM and 1450 AM in Prescott also will be added to Lumberjack Radio Network to better serve the tri-city area of Yavapai County.
The stations will broadcast all NAU football and men’s basketball games, select women’s basketball games and a new weekly coaches’ call-in show every Tuesday from 6–7 p.m.
“We are very excited about the partnership with Great Circle Media,” said Lisa Campos, NAU vice president for Intercollegiate Athletics. “Radio coverage through The Hits and Fun Oldies allows us to continue expanding our brand across northern Arizona while providing fans an opportunity to enjoy listening to NAU football and basketball.”
The new broadcast partnership will kick off with the first NAU coaches’ show Tuesday, Aug. 26. The first football game will be broadcast on Aug. 30 when NAU takes on San Diego State in the 2014 season opener. The pregame show will start at 3 p.m.
Great Circle Media serves Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona, and all of northern Arizona on KAFF Country 92.9, The Mountain 93.9, Hits 106, Flagstaff Country 93.5, Magic 99.1 and Fun Oldies 100.9.
