A new commuter vanpool service in the Mountain Line transit system is offering a cost-effective and environmentally responsible alternative to single occupant commuting.
The goal of the program is to reduce traffic and parking congestion and greenhouse gas emissions, and offer a wider array of public transportation options. In addition, vanpools provide an average annual savings of $1,800 for commuters.
Vanpools can be started with as few as five people and have capacity for up to 12. The program includes all maintenance/service/repairs, 24-hour roadside assistance, zero deductible insurance and a guaranteed ride home program.
