Another major snowstorm is expected to hit the Flagstaff area tonight through Friday. Residents are being advised to expect substantial snow accumulation.

You can get the forecast from the National Weather Service here.

NAU has taken steps to ensure than essential services on the Flagstaff campus remain operating.

A decision on closing campus or delaying the start of classes is normally made before 6 a.m., with the decision on canceling evening classes made between 3 and 4 p.m.

It’s at this point that students, faculty and staff are notified through NAU Alert, e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, the NAU home page, MyNAU, the NAU Now phone line at 523-0007 and local media.

Students who feel unsafe driving to class should contact their instructors to determine how to make up classroom assignments. Employees who are unable to get to work should contact their supervisors or follow normal departmental procedures. The NAU Police Department has some seasonal driving tips at nau.edu/police/Traffic.htm.
