A series of new advertisements will run across various media beginning this month, positioning Northern Arizona University as “a unique experience, a unique university.”
Students, prospects, parents and staff helped develop the marketing messages through focus groups, interviews and surveys, resulting in two campaigns that integrate common themes and designs for NAU’s Flagstaff campus and its Extended Campuses locations.
The “Principles” campaign features scenic images of the Flagstaff campus with a core principle featured inside a shield centered on the page.
“These principles convey NAU’s sense of community, as a place where people feel they belong and where they will be treated as individuals with unique goals and needs,” explained Mason Gerety, vice president for Advancement, who oversaw the effort.
The “Find Your Way” campaign pairs whimsical images and phrases that emphasize NAU’s focus on discovery and life experiences outside of the classroom, Gerety said.
The ads will run throughout the state for the next seven months in print and online newspapers, on billboards, via social media channels and on radio stations.
