Lightning victim undergoing treatment in Phoenix

The 18-year-old freshman who was struck by lightning in September is recovering in Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix.

Zachary Cuppy is progressing in his rehabilitation, according to his mother, Loren.

Loren Cuppy said the Cuppy family appreciates the thoughts, prayers and support they’ve received from the Northern Arizona University community, and Zachary looks forward to returning to campus.

Cuppy was struck by lightning near Reilly Hall on Sept. 10.
