Kathryn “Katie” Wunch, a senior early childhood education major from Phoenix, died unexpectedly March 19, 2009, in Phoenix. She was 19.
Born May 23, 1989, in Phoenix, Ms. Wunch attended St. Theresa Parish and School, graduated from Veritas Preparatory Academy in 2007 and worked at Prince of Peace Preschool. She was a senior at Northern Arizona University where she was nearing the completion of her degree in early childhood education with an emphasis in special education.
Ms. Wunch is survived by her parents, Michael Taylor and Kathleen Lee (Gardner) Wunch; her brother, Michael Kasey Wunch; grandparents and extended family.
Services will be held at St. Theresa Church, 5045 E. Thomas Road in Phoenix, including a vigil from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 26, with Scripture service at 7 p.m.; and a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Friday, March 27.
