COVID-19 update: NAU announces early start date, moves July summer classes to virtual format

Northern Arizona University will resume in-person classes for the fall 2020 semester, with an early start date of Aug. 12. More information about the return to campus in the fall can be found in the June 4 announcement to campus.

NAU will hold remaining summer academic sessions in a virtual format to give the university additional time to fully prepare for the return to an in-person campus this fall.

Some July classes, such as labs and clinics, will include in-person activities with proper social distancing and protocols in place. Class sizes will remain small. Students who will have in-person components in their classes will hear from their professors prior to the start of classes.

In-person events, including summer camps, will not be held on campus this summer. Some events and activities will be held in a virtual format.
