ITS’ Learning and Professional Development team is reporting great success resulting from its contract with Lynda.com, an online learning site made available in the fall to university faculty, staff and students.
By the end of the fall semester, nearly 1,000 users registered for the service and viewed 200 hours of training and tutorial videos. In January, the number of new accounts nearly doubled and users viewed more than 750 hours of content.
Lynda.com is a software video library with courses that teach critical skills for use in the workforce. Videos can be accessed for free at nau.edu/lynda.
Logging in with NAU credentials grants users access to hundreds of tutorials on software and technology in subjects including animation, business, development, photography, video and website design.
