Marc Chopin, associate dean and associate professor of economics in The W.A. Franke College of Business since 2006, will serve as interim dean of the college while a permanent dean is sought.
“Marc has been an outstanding citizen of NAU since he joined us several years ago,” said Liz Grobsmith, provost and vice president for Academic Affairs. “I am delighted that I’ll have the opportunity to work with him more closely.”
Former dean Mason Gerety has been named NAU’s vice president for Advancement. His appointment, effective July 1, is contingent upon approval by the Arizona Board of Regents, which is expected in June.
Chopin came to NAU from Louisiana Tech University, where he held a variety of positions since 1992, including associate director for the Center for Entrepreneurship and Information Technologies; associate dean for Graduate Studies and Research; director for the Division of Business and Economic Research; and associate professor of economics.
