  • Tyler Day received his first title of the season as Male Track Athlete of the Week from the Big Sky Conference on May 6. Day is the NCAA Division I and Big Sky Conference leader in the men’s 5000-meter run after his race at the Payton Jordan Invitational with a time of 13:25.06. He also has the fifth best time in the 10,000-meter run in the NCAA Division I at 28:24.94.
  • Engineering students Jason Luque and Jenny Lawson received a National Science Foundation Research (NSF) Experiences for Undergraduates Award in conjunction with the NSF CRII Research Initiation Award given to assistant professor of mechanical engineering Zach Lerner and NAU’s Biomechatronics Lab. The goal of the lab is to restore and enhance neuromuscular function in humans through robotic exoskeletons.
