- Bill Wiist, professor in the College of Health and Human Services and senior scientist at NAU’s Interdisciplinary Health Policy Institute, published a letter in the Sept. 18 issue of the British Medical Journal. The letter, titled “We Must Reclaim Public Health from Private Corporate Interests,” was in response to an article suggesting that public health focus on the influence of corporations on health. Wiist pointed to work that he and his colleagues in the United States, Israel, Great Britain and around the world have done in that regard and recommended collaboration on the issue.
