  • Changing Gears posterChris Gunn, director of Counseling Services, will have his 58-minute documentary, Changing Gears: Flagstaff and the Mountain Bike, premiere at 7 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the Orpheum Theater, with benefits to go to the Flagstaff Family Food Center. The film captures Flagstaff’s role in the creation and evolution of the mountain bike. The film also has been selected to be screened on Oct. 15 as part of the Flagstaff Mountain Film Festival.Produced through his Shot By Gunn Productions, this is Gunn’s fifth consecutive film to be selected by the festival.
  • Bruce M. Sullivan, professor of religious studies, was guest editor for a special issue of the International Journal of Hindu Studies, which published four articles introduced by Sullivan’s essay, “The ‘Mahabharata:’ Perspectives on its Ends and Endings.”
  • Jason Hess, associate professor of art, had work accepted into the
    19th annual Strictly Functional Pottery National. The exhibit will be open Sept. 24 to Nov. 6 in East Petersburg, Pa., at the Market House Craft Center.
