  • Matt Casado, a professor in the Hotel and Restaurant Management program, published the article, “Emplazamiento de la Antigua Ciudad de Urci” in the history section of Axarquia, Revista del Levante Almeriense, a history journal.
  • Shafiu Jibrin, an associate professor for the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, recently published the book, Redundancy in Semidefinite Programming: Detection and Elimination of Redundant Linear Matrix Inequalities,” by VDM Publication House.
  • The Department of Politics and International Affairs, in conjunction with the Graduate Association of Political Science, will host the first interdisciplinary graduate student conference on the NAU campus, Jan. 29. Planners expect to attract young scholars across widely divergent disciplines and those outside the institutional boundaries of NAU from other Arizona campuses. The call for papers is currently open and prospective presenters will have until Nov. 15 to submit their abstracts for review to political.science@nau.edu.
