NAU Dance Team
Members of the NAU dance team perform at the UDACDT National Championships last week.
  • The Northern Arizona University dance team finished fourth in Division 1 Hip Hop at the Universal Dance Association College Dance Team National Championships at Walt Disney World last week. The team competed against 24 other Division 1 schools before advancing to finals, where they out-performed teams from the University of Delaware, University of California-Davis, George Mason University, Southeastern Louisiana University, George Washington University, Idaho State University and Saint Joseph’s University.
  • Kathleen M. McGeever, chair of the theater department, had her short play, Tango in Paris, selected for a stage reading at the Mid American Theatre Conference in Kansas City, Mo., Feb. 27-March 2.

Janet Napolitano’s Arizona-Mexico Commission, a non-profit organization that works to improve the well-being and quality of life for Arizona residents by promoting a strong, cooperative relationship with Mexico and Latin America through advocacy, trade, networking and information

  • Mary I. Dereshiwsky, associate professor of educational leadership, had two articles published in January: “Five Things Your Online Students Will Notice” in the E-Lern Newsletter and “Tips for Maximizing Student Self-Reliance” in LERN Magazine.
