Northern Arizona University’s High Country Conference Center has received a slew of industry awards in recognition of its innovation and excellence.
The conference center was recently named a “Best of the West” meeting facility by Meetings Focus magazine. The prestigious award recognizes the top 50 conference centers in the western United States, western Canada and Mexico.
“It’s an honor to be selected by meeting planners for this distinctive award,” said Moses DeBord, general manager of the conference center. “The facility has brought tremendous value to the university and the entire community of Flagstaff. I’m extremely proud of our team and the commitment shown to be the best every day.”
Best of the West properties are judged on the following criteria: quality of meeting space, guest rooms, guest services and amenities, food and beverage service, high-tech services and equipment, recreational facilities and activities, the efficiency and helpfulness of staff, and overall value and experience.
For the third year in a row, the center has been the recipient of Meeting & Conventions’ Gold Key Award for overall professionalism and quality of the property and the Pinnacle Award from Successful Meetings magazine in recognition of excellence in service and facilities.
“These accolades continue to show our commitment to quality and excellence in what we do and what we strive to provide,” DeBord said.
The center will be featured in the September 2013 issue of Meetings Focus and in Meetings & Conventions’ Gold Awards issue in November.
