NAU’s Health Psychology Center is now accepting new clients for education, evaluation and treatment of a variety of conditions, including anxiety, stress and stress-related problems, athletic and other performance issues, cancer, chronic pain, high blood pressure, management of diabetes and other health problems. The service is offered to the community as well as to NAU faculty and staff.
Other conditions clients may be seen for include phobias, circulatory problems, asthma, headaches, emphysema, sleep problems, gastrointestinal problems, smoking cessation, post-operative and recovery, weight loss, arthritic pain, skin problems, PMS and risk factors in heart disease.
The clinic is open to the public and offers biofeedback, hypnosis, lifestyle behavior change and wellness skills, stress management and cognitive behavioral therapy.
The Health Psychology Center is located on the lower level of the Social Behavioral Sciences West building, (building 70), and is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The clinic offers a sliding fee scale. Contact: (928) 523-2161.
