Northern Arizona University President John Haeger will participate in a panel discussion on new approaches to higher education as part of the Capitolbeat conference in Phoenix on Friday.
The session, titled “New Ideas in Higher Education,” is part of the Association of Capitol Reporters and Editors annual meeting. The panel will discuss state support of public university systems and new ways to create a skilled workforce while reducing costs.
Other panel members include Maria Harper-Marinick, vice chancellor of Maricopa Community College, Ken Sorber, vice president of strategic relations at Western Governors University, and Eric Kelderman, staff reporter on government and politics for the Chronicle of Higher Education.
