Going the distance: Canadian grad says thanks to NAU

Heather Blondin, a recent graduate from the Consortium of Professional Schools, recently traveled to Flagstaff from the Great White North to participate in commencement ceremonies.

Blondin, a successful online student, had high praise for NAU, its celebration and, especially, her program coordinator who helped her throughout her NAU career.

Blondin sent the following e-mail to NAU President John Haeger last week.

Hello President Haeger,

I was fortunate to be able to attend my graduation May 13, 2006, from NAU’s Degree Completion Program in dental hygiene. Now that I have returned home to Sudbury, Ontario, Canada, I wanted to personally thank you and everyone involved for a wonderful celebration.

As an online student with NAU, I was pleased to finally meet my program’s coordinator, Marjorie Reveal. As always, Marjorie went out of her way to make us “Canadians” feel welcome; thank you again, Marge, for taking the time to meet with me before the ceremony and to personally show me around the campus and the Health Professions building, both myself and my family much appreciated your kindness.

I look forward to continuing my educational journey with NAU and hope to visit Flagstaff again in the very near future.

Sincerely,

Heather Blondin
