Go green with NAU during Earth Month

NAU Green Jacks

April is Earth Month and Northern Arizona University is celebrating campus sustainability and awareness with a full slate of events.

The festivities kickoff with a lecture by astrophysicist and educator Jeffrey Bennett on Tuesday, April 5, and continue with an eco-fashion show, open-air market, Earth Jam, Arbor Day walk and the annual campus sustainability awards.

Chad Pregracke, founder of Living Lands and Water and the 2013 CNN Hero of the Year, is Earth Day’s keynote speaker and will give a public talk at 6 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Cline Library Assembly Hall. Pregracke will share his environmental journey from picking up trash as a teenager to founding a nonprofit organization that has removed millions of pounds of trash from America’s watersheds.
