Another year, another fundraising record broken on NAU Giving Day!
The sixth annual event, held virtually and in person Wednesday, April 3, raised a whopping $791,688—a 28% increase over last year’s Giving Day, itself a record-breaking event. The extended Lumberjack community of alumni, families, faculty, staff, students and community supporters banded together to support hundreds of individual funds, fueling scholarships for students in need, high-impact research projects, emergency funds, student groups and more.
Of the money raised during the joyful, one-day giving event, $521,211 came from challenges set by various departments, initiatives and clubs across NAU’s campuses.
Donors weren’t the only ones who rose to the challenge. Students, too, found creative ways to get in the spirit of Giving Day. NAU Esports organized a 24-hour livestream on April 3, entertaining the university community from morning until night and inspiring a slew of donations to the club. And a record 200-plus Jacks turned out for Student Organization Service Day, an annual campus clean-up event held concurrently with Giving Day.
